
Coach Laura Mathews is a sprinter, hurdler, and multi-event athlete from Denville, NJ. She attended Morris Hills High School before furthering her education at Stevens Institute of Technology. While at Stevens, Laura earned a bachelor's degree in industrial and systems engineering and a master's in engineering management, all while competing at the Division III level. She became the 2024 National Champion in the 100m Hurdles and received numerous accolades at the conference, regional, and national levels across multiple events. Now, Laura trains and advocates for women's decathlon coaching. In addition to her own training, she coaches part-time at her alma mater and at Drew University.
