Coach Austin Willis

Coach Austin Willis specializes in long jump, triple jump, and sprint development, working with athletes to build technical precision, confidence, and competitive consistency. His mission is to develop athletes who not only perform at a high level, but who also understand how to grow, adapt, and take ownership of their performance.

Austin is a USATF Level 1 certified coach and the current jumps coach at Montclair High School. He has a strong track record of developing elite jumpers and has guided athletes to success at both the state and national levels.

Notable athletes Austin has coached include:

  • Ashley Noel (Montclair ’24) — New Jersey State Champion in the Long Jump, now competing at DePaul University
  • Kennedy White (Montclair ’25) — New Jersey State Champion in the Triple Jump, now competing at the University of Arizona
  • Seannah Parsons (Randolph ’26) — Ranked #2 in New Jersey and committed to the University of Pennsylvania

What sets Austin apart is not just the results, but his intentional, athlete-centered approach. He helps athletes connect the dots between mechanics, mindset, and confidence, addressing everything from approach consistency and fouling issues to performance anxiety. His coaching is built on trust, communication, and a strong emphasis on athlete well-being.
